De Seiko Prospex SPB149J1 is een herinterpretatie in beperkte oplage ter ere van het 55-jarig jubileum van Seiko's kenmerkende 1965 duikhorloge. Beperkt tot 5,500 stuks wereldwijdcombineert het een kenmerkende blauwgrijze wijzerplaat, professionele duikmogelijkheden tot 200-meter en Seiko's jarenlange mechanische duikhorloge-erfgoed in een compact roestvrijstalen profiel.

Aangedreven door de Seiko 6R35 automatisch uurwerk, de SPB149J1 biedt handmatig opwinden, een stop-secondenfunctie en ongeveer 70 uur gangreserve. De roestvrijstalen kast van 40.5 mm is voorzien van een gebogen saffierglas met antireflectiecoating aan de binnenkant, een in één richting draaiende ring, een geschroefde kroon en een geschroefde achterkant van de kast. LumiBrite wordt aangebracht op de wijzers, indexen en ring voor een sterke zichtbaarheid bij weinig licht.
