Seiko Prospex SPB297J1 ist die moderne Neuinterpretation der Taucheruhr von 1965 aus der „Save the Ocean“-Sonderedition von Seiko. Ihr tiefblaues, vom Gletscher inspiriertes Zifferblatt mit Textur ist eine Hommage an Seikos bahnbrechende Taucheruhr von 1965 und bietet gleichzeitig die moderne Prospex-Leistung für das tägliche Tragen sowie für anspruchsvolle Tauchgänge.
Die Uhr wird durch das automatische Seiko-Kaliber 6R35 mit Handaufzugsmöglichkeit, 24 Steinen und einer Gangreserve von etwa 70 Stunden angetrieben. Das 40,5 mm große Edelstahlgehäuse ist mit einer schwarzen, einseitig drehbaren Lünette, gewölbtem Saphirglas mit Antireflexionsbeschichtung, LumiBrite-Zeigern und -Indizes, einer verschraubten Krone sowie einem verschraubten Gehäuseboden ausgestattet.
Ein Edelstahlarmband mit Sicherheitsverschluss, Druckknopf-Entriegelung und Taucherverlängerung vervollständigt das Design der Einsatzuhr. Die Wasserdichtigkeit ist bis zu 200 Meter zertifiziert.
