Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC955 Solar Chronograph is the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 Limited Edition, created to celebrate Seiko’s long-standing role in sports timing. Its sunray-finished purple dial is inspired by Edo purple, a historic color associated with Tokyo and selected as the official color of the 2025 championships. Limited to 6,000 pieces worldwide, the SSC955 combines Speedtimer racing heritage with a distinctive commemorative design.
Powered by Seiko’s Caliber V192 solar movement, the watch features a 60-minute chronograph, a 24-hour subdial, power reserve indication and solar charging. When fully charged, it can operate for approximately six months without additional light exposure. The case back carries the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 emblem.
